The Iseo lake

A paradise to discover

The lago of Iseo is found in the heart of the Lombardy, between the province of Brescia and Bergamo. With a surface of approximately 65 km2 and it is  the seventh larger Italian lake and accommodates the biggest lake island in Europe, Mount Island (Monte Isola), considered the pearl of the lake.

 The freeway A4 Milan-Venice concurs connections in less than 1 hour from Milan and Verona, while Brescia and Bergamo are reachable in approximately 20 minutes.
The vicinity with the airports of Orio al Serio (Bergamo) Montichiari and Verona guarantees an easy attainment from abroad, and thanks to the presence of low cost carriers that they operate on various national and European route at particularly low costs.

 The territory that encircles the Lago of Iseo is rich of history, traditions and culture, offering not only natural beauties in its kind but modern and functional services.Various are the sport activities tied to the lago: swim, windsurfing, nautical ski, underwater and, fishing,  sailing (these last helped by the presence of regular and stable wind).

 The natural beauties abound in the zone, in a context of vegetation still nearly untouched.
Not to lose the reservoir regional of torbiere of the sebino, with its 360 hectares of rich swampy zone of rare birds, a true paradise for the lovers of birdwatching and the protected area of the pyramids of erosion of Zone, where youu’ll be able to admire one most rare nature show in the world, created from the corrosive action of the water to contact with the morainic land of the mountain.

 The lago of Iseo is found two steps away from the Franciacorta, today’s district of excellence in the doc wine production, in a position to offer a eno-gastronomic destination with  restaurants, typical wine cellars and farm holidays.
On the rivers of the lake, thanks to a mild climate also in winter, are diffused the cultivation of olive trees, from which they produce an optimal oil of olive to D.o.p. brand.

 In the vicinities the  Terme di Boario ( A very famous thermal station, whose waters favor the diuresis cures, and in general for the well-being of the person.
For the lovers of the mountain, there is the possibility to make trekking in the paths and the natural parks (Adamello, Stelvio), or ski and snowboard, in the neighbourhood  of Borno, Montecampione, Valdicorteno, Ponte di  Legno and Tonale.

 For the art passionate, not to lose a visit to the 170,000 Rocks  engraving of Luino, Simoni, Crape, Capodiponte and Naquane, recognized from the Unesco like Patrimony of the Humanity or to discover the numerous castles, picks, mansions and churches in the area.A complete offer, in a position to satisfying all the requirements and in all the seasons.
